Holiday celebrations are a great time to connect with friends and family.
Here are five fun activities to try this holiday season in Fort Smith and make lasting memories with your loved ones.
1. Fort Smith Ice Skating
It’s never too cold to go ice skating, especially if it’s skating for a purpose.
The Skating Rink returns to Fort Smith for the holiday season, bringing a fun option for families to stay active and support families in crisis due to homelessness. This year, all proceeds will go to support the Community Rescue Mission.
The Ice Skating Rink is located at Cisterna Park, 1001 Garrison Ave., Fort Smith, and will be open until January 1, 2023. For more information, visit fortsmith.org/fort-smith-ice-skating.

Dress up your pet in their favorite festive Christmas clothing. All registered dogs (limited to 20) and their people will follow behind the FS Museum of History Float. Please note dogs will need to be leashed, fixed, and updated with their vaccines, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pups.
4. Festival Of Trees
Choose a favorite Christmas tree! Presented by the Optimist Club of Fort Smith and hosted by the Bakery District, the Festival of Trees is on display throughout December 18th. Participants can buy votes for their favorite Christmas Trees. All proceeds raised in this charity event will be used to support Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club.
