SUPPORTING WOMEN'S SPECIAL NEEDS
We recognize that through a lifetime, women may experience many
varied health needs. Our staff is prepared
to care for the diverse needs of women of all ages. There is a total
commitment for care, compassion and understanding.
The
Women's Health Unit provides patient-centered care for women experiencing
gynecologic surgery and breast surgery. Mothers who have experienced
perinatal loss also receive care from this unit. The staff emphasizes
patient education and family involvement while providing expert
nursing management of these conditions.
At BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center-Little Rock Women's Center the focus is on wellness and prevention and setting goals for the future. To accomplish these goals, Baptist Health has a team of professionals to provide an array of health services and education. Hormone replacement therapy, osteoporosis, heart disease and breast cancer are concerns for women as they get older. With education and lifestyle change, women can significantly improve their health.
Our Women's Center consistently has a high level of patient satisfaction. That's because our staff is aware that every patient is somebody's mother, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother or aunt. Each staff member looks forward to providing the individualized care that each woman desires and needs.
