BAPTIST HEALTH Rehabilitation Institute (BHRI) is Arkansas's most experienced physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital.
Open since 1974, the BAPTIST HEALTH Rehab Institute of Little Rock, AR is the largest and most comprehensive rehab facility in the state. Because of our West Little Rock location, patients at BHRI have easy access to the advantages of a major medical center while enjoying a warm, friendly environment.Treatment at BAPTIST HEALTH Rehabilitation Institute is comprehensive and tailored to each individual patient's needs. Components may include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation nursing, psychology, stroke recovery rehab, speech language pathology, therapeutic recreation, and care coordination. The types of problems that bring people to rehab centers are sometimes tragic and life changing. Even the less complex rehabilitation issues can significantly impact on one's day to day living.

March is National Brain Injury Awareness month. BAPTIST HEALTH Rehabilitation Institute has the only acute rehabilitation program in Arkansas which is accredited in the treatment of brain injury patients by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. In 2009 BHRI treated 95 individuals in our inpatient program who had sustained a traumatic brain injury. 71% of these patients were able to return home after an average of two weeks of treatment which included a Rehabilitation Physician, Rehabilitation Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Neuropsychology, and Therapeutic Recreation. Referrals to BHRI can be made by a physician, family member, friend or self-referral. A screening examination may be conducted prior to admission. The cost of treatment is covered as any hospitalization by Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation and private insurance carriers.
