Kidney and Hearth Transplant Centers
Baptist Health is the state's most comprehensive healthcare system. With more than 130 points of access and always-available features such as our online health encyclopedia, Baptist Health is committed to meeting the healthcare needs of all Arkansans.
As one of the most caring and comprehensive US kidney transplant centers, the Kidney Transplant
Program at Baptist Health began in 1989 and has now completed more than 800
kidney transplants. Our team is dedicated to providing evaluation
for transplant candidacy and post-transplant care in a patient-focused
manner within a Christian environment.

Our cardiac rehab programs can often nurse a heart back to health, but sometimes a patient’s medical situation calls for a heart transplant. The first Heart Transplant was completed at Baptist Health Medical Center - Little Rock in November 1989, and since that time, Baptist Health has been performing heart transplants for more than 20 years. We've transplanted more than 170 hearts!

KIDNEY DONOR EVALUATION . . .
If you are interested in being a donor to someone that you know very well, please call us. Kidney transplant centers offer representatives that will talk to you about your medical candidacy and work-up requirements specific to yourself.
Medicare allows us to pay for the donor work-up that we require
(We cannot pay for travel, lodging, meals, and time-off work, etc.).
