At BAPTIST HEALTH Behavioral Services our goal is simple. Our interdisciplinary team works with the patient, his/her family, and the physicians to aid each patient’s return to daily living with an ability to function at the maximum capacity possible.
Psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment is available with the comprehensive services of the state’s largest healthcare system.
What is mental health counseling? Adult Psychiatry is acute psychiatric treatment for those 18-65 years of age. We offer intensive psychiatric care for depression, anxiety, grief and psychosis. Our daily milieu consists of psychotherapy and educational groups by licensed Little Rock mental health professionals, medication information groups by a licensed registered nurses, spiritual groups, and occupational therapy and occupational therapy groups. The interdisciplinary team works together to ensure progress and hope are achieved while on our unit. During admission the patient will have a licensed Little Rock mental health professional assigned to provide a single point of contact for the patient, friends, and family to help address identified needs while scheduling the patient for follow up treatment on an outpatient basis.

- Depression
- Treats adults 18+
- Depression/Anxiety
- Suicidal Ideation
- Homicidal Ideation
- Psychosis (Hallucinations, delusions, and/or paranoia)
- Treatment includes but is not limited to: Psychotherapy groups, Educational groups, Nursing Groups, Occupational Therapy group, and spiritual groups.
- Discharge planning and follow up outpatient treatment
Recover is an adult alcohol and drug dependency treatment program for those 18 and older and includes inpatient detoxification from opiate, benzodiazepine and/or alcohol addiction. The patient will received daily groups addressing addiction and substance abuse issues. This treatment may be followed by an intensive 3 week outpatient program based on the 12-step model.
- We offer a complimentary assessment to determine whether our program is right for you.
- Recover includes an inpatient detoxification program for patients ages 18 years and up who need medical stabilization.
- Recover also offers an outpatient program that includes Group Therapy, Individual Therapy and Family Programming. Participants meet 8:30 am-11:30 am, Monday-Friday and 9-11:30 am Saturday.
To meet the needs of companies, RECOVER offers a flexible schedule for working employees who need treatment while continuing to work. Aftercare on Tuesday evenings is a community service of BAPTIST HEALTH, which is free to former RECOVER patients.
