Computed Tomography Exam (CT)
Simple, safe and swift, a CT exam is one of the most common
medical imaging procedures. It is a valuable diagnostic medical
exam that combines X-rays and computers. Often called CAT scans,
CT scans have been performed successfully for almost 30 years.
Having state-of-the-art technology in CT Scanning at BAPTIST HEALTH
Medical Center-Arkadelphia reduces the amount of radiation you’re
exposed to which is healthier for you. And the quality of the images
allows the physician reading them to be more accurate.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
This MRI will allow patients in Arkadelphia and surrounding
communities who need this type of service to stay closer to home
and receive the same benefits of advanced technology that have only
been available in larger cities. After an MRI test is performed,
the film will be delivered directly to a radiology specialist at
BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center -
Little Rock, who will then read the film and provide results
to the patient's primary caregiver.
Digital Mammography
Digital mammography has made early detection even more likely. It’s more effective than film mammography at finding breast cancer in women who were once very difficult to diagnose: younger than age 50, of any age with very dense breasts, and pre- or perimenopausal. To schedule your digital mammogram, call BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center-Arkadelphia at (870)245-1111.

BHMC-A
operates one of two Mobile Health Units in Arkansas. This
unit operates constantly in the community, offering health screenings
and education, first aid and physician directed medical services.
When tornadoes tore through Clark County in March, 1997, the BHMC-A Mobile Health Unit became the temporary command center for numerous agencies working to save lives and assess damage in the area.
