Radiology Services
As a Radiologic Imaging Professional at BAPTIST HEALTH, you will
provide quality, patient centered services to a diverse patient
population encompassing every region of our beautiful state. Care
is provided with leading edge technology, and guided by the principles
of Christian compassion and concern.
Our Patients
At BAPTIST HEALTH, we never forget that patients are the reason
we exist. Directed by the Clinical Services Division of BAPTIST HEALTH, both imaging and interventional services are provided across
the spectrum of unique patient populations; from neonatal to geriatric.
Our Staff
Little Rock:
Under the guidance of a team of over 30 board certified Radiologists,
imaging and interventional services are performed by our experienced
staff in the areas of Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scan, Ultrasound,
Nuclear Medicine, and Special Procedures. Our Staff are accredited
by both national and state agencies, including the ARRT, ARDMS,
and CNMT, as well as the Arkansas State Board of Health. Additionally,
a large support staff is in place, supplying such services as Quality
Assurance, Nursing, Film Library, and Patient Transport - over 150
employees in all.
North Little Rock:
Experienced in all areas including Diagnostic Radiology, CT,
Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and Mammography. Our staff Is
accredited by both national and state agencies including AART, ARDMS,
CNMT, and the State Board of Health. We are staffed with 60 employees
including ancillary areas such as the Film Library and Transport.
Arkadelphia:
Experienced staff in the areas of Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scan,
Ultrasound, MRI, and Mammography. Accredited by both national and
state agencies, including ARRT and the Arkansas State Board of Health.
Heber Springs:
Experienced staff in the areas of Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scan,
Ultrasound, MRI, and Mammography. Accredited both by national and
state agencies, including ARRT and the Arkansas State Board of Health.
Equipment and Work Setting
At BAPTIST HEALTH Radiology, our goal is to provide the finest
in patient care while obtaining high quality images vital for patient
diagnosis and treatment. Each specialty area within the Radiology
department yields specific learning experiences so that personal
and professional goals can be expanded. McKesson PACS - images can
be obtained and delivered whenever and wherever the physician needs
them.
Little Rock:
Diagnostic section: Kodak Computed Radiography, a Phillips
Digital Chest Room, Four Digital Fluoroscopic Rooms, GE and Shimadzu
routine radiography rooms, and a Hologic digital room for the emergency
room.
CT Scan: Phillips 16,10 and 4 slice scanners. 2 Vital Images
Workstations perform 3D imaging, while an Elscint Twin Flash scanner
provides CT support in the Special Procedures area.
Ultrasound: Four Siemens Acuson scanners comprise the ultrasound
area.
Nuclear Medicine: 7 gamma cameras, including GE, ADAC, and
Siemens models, along with GE PET.
Interventional Radiology Lab: 2 single plane Phillips Labs
with 3-D RA and SONOSITE portable Ultrasound
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - Three 1.5 T scanners (GE
and Phillips)

North Little Rock:
Diagnostic section: 3 Shimadzu Digital Fluoroscopic rooms,
1 Shimadzu tomogram room, 1 Schmadzu routine radiographic room,
4 OEC c-arms, and 4 GE portable machines.
CT: 2 Phillips MX twin helical scanners
Nuclear Medicine: 3 gamma cameras which includes an ADAC
Vertex, GE Millennum, and a Siemens Orbiter. Capintec 2000 Thyroid
probe and well counter.
Mammography: Lorad M-1V, GE Senographe DMR, a Lorad ABBI
System, GE ultrasound machine, and a R2 Image Checker
Ultrasound: 2 Acuson Sequoia 512 machines
MRI: GE Signa 1.5 Telsa LX Magnet
Stand alone screening Mammography Center at Lakewood Village
(Lorad M IV)
BAPTIST HEALTH Imaging Center utilizes GE Twin CT Scanner,
a GE Signa 1.5 Telsa LX magnet, and a GE High Field Open .7 Telsa
Open Air Magnet.

radiography room, and GE portable X-ray for onsite x-rays.

STUDENTS
BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center-Little Rock (BHMC-LR) and North Little
Rock (BHMC-NLR) both serve as clinical sites for the BAPTIST HEALTH
School of Radiography. BHMC - Arkadelphia is one of the clinical
sites for National Park Community College School of Radiologic Technology.
Under the direction of the radiology staff, students obtain the
skills and knowledge necessary to become entry level Radiologic
Health Professionals.
