BAPTIST HEALTH Bolo Bash® Luncheon

This year marks the 20th anniversary of BAPTIST HEALTH's largest fundraising event, the BAPTIST HEALTH Bolo Bash®. Planning is underway for a luncheon, an intimate evening with this year's guest speaker, Dixie Carter and a golf tournament in May to help raise funds during this special event.

The 2008 Bolo Bash® luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 1, at 11:30 a.m. in the J.A. Gilbreath Conference Center located at BAPTIST HEALTH Medical Center-Little Rock (BHMC-LR). There will also be a health fair and silent auction before the luncheon.

Dixie Carter at Bolo Bash 2008

Carter is best known as Julia Sugarbaker in the long-running CBS hit television series, Designing Women. The show ran from 1986 to 1993. Carter's humble beginnings started in her home state of Tennessee. While a student at Memphis State University, Carter worked as an actress for George Tonliatos at Memphis' highly regarded Front Street Theater. Here she played the soprano lead in Carousel; Oklahoma; A Little Night Music; and Mame in Mame.

Carter is known as a theater actress, television star, author and critically acclaimed cabaret singer and BAPTIST HEALTH is excited to announce her as our guest speaker.

The meet and mingle evening event with Dixie Carter will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at the beautiful home of Pat and Bill Carlton, overlooking the Arkansas River. Tickets for this exclusive evening will go fast, so call early for reservations.
