BAPTIST HEALTH Bolo Bash® 2008
Each spring the BAPTIST HEALTH Foundation plays host to "Bolo Bash®" which is their only fund-raising event for the year. The proceeds from this event are substantial and are then appointed to a specific need which exists within our community. Bolo Bash® includes a luncheon on the BAPTIST HEALTH Little Rock Campus and a golf tournament at Chenal Country Club. This year's beneficiary is the BAPTIST HEALTH Heart and Kidney Transplant Institute.

Each year five million Americans have heart failure with an incidence of occurrence being ten in every one thousand after the age of 65. The BAPTIST HEALTH Heart Transplant Program was established in 1989 and in 2006 surpassed Baylor Medical Center in the number of transplants performed.
The increased number of projected heart transplants requires BAPTIST HEALTH to build the Transplant Institute which will house all services provided to patients prior to and after transplant surgery. The most significant benefit to the patient is the quality of life. Many transplant patients return to work or sports-related activities.
You probably know someone that has suffered from heart failure, most of us do. To help these people and to help protect our loved ones we all need to get involved. Bolo Bash® allows you the opportunity to be involved in the community as well as support one of the leading providers of healthcare in Arkansas.
