Baptist Health Walking Programs

Baptist Health and Park Plaza Mall have teamed up for your health, with the Mallwalkers Program.

Through our Mallwalkers Program, we're providing all group members with access to free monthly blood pressure screenings (on the second Tuesday of each month), blood sugar and total cholesterol, weight and body mass index twice a year. Just look for postings throughout the mall to stay informed of the many upcoming events. Click Here for our Flu Shot schedule.

The InStep Club walking program at McCain Mall in North Little Rock provides a safe, weather-protected place to walks and offers free monthly screenings (on the first Friday of each month) and total cholesterol, weight, height and body mass index screenings twice a year. Click Here for our Flu Shot schedule.

The Walking Programs are designed to encourage aerobic walking for good health, and to provide a safe, enclosed walking route for all to enjoy.

It's a medical fact that brisk walking is beneficial as an aerobic exercise, as well as being safe and enjoyable. It doesn't require any expensive equipment or instruction and can serve as an integral part of an overall fitness plan that will improve your cardiovascular system's performance and lower your risk of heart disease. (Usually walking briskly enough to increase your pulse and breathing rate for a period of at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week is recommended.) By burning up calories, walking can also make it easier to take off weight and keep it off. Plus, walking can help relieve tension, alleviate depression and anxiety, and build your sense of accomplishment and self-fulfillment.
